Electrical and Electronics Engineering Graduate • TKM College of Engineering
ASKEE was not born as a marketplace. In his second year of EEE at TKM College of Engineering, Thomas — along with friends — began converting bicycles into electric vehicles, designing battery systems, motors, controllers, and safety features from scratch.
They built and sold their first e-cycle, then ran workshops introducing hundreds of students to EV technology. Through those sessions, one problem kept surfacing: students needed books, tools, teammates, and opportunities — while others nearby had exactly that. No platform existed to connect them.
That gap became ASKEE. From building the first e-cycle to building a community platform — the mission has never changed.
The E-Cycle Project
It started in second year — fascinated by electric mobility and wanting to make sustainable transportation more accessible to students. Together with friends, we began converting conventional bicycles into electric bicycles, designing and integrating battery systems, motors, controllers, and safety features.
What started as an experiment soon became a real project. We successfully built and sold our first electric bicycle, proving that students could create meaningful technology solutions with limited resources.
The Workshops
Alongside building e-cycles, we conducted workshops for students — introducing them to electric vehicle technology, batteries, motors, controllers, battery management systems, and the future of sustainable mobility.
Through these workshops, we interacted with hundreds of students and discovered a common problem: students were constantly looking for books, components, tools, teammates, mentors, internships, workshops, and opportunities. At the same time, many others already had exactly what someone else needed.
Yet there was no dedicated platform connecting these people within local communities and educational institutions.
The Bigger Vision
That realization sparked a bigger vision. Instead of solving only transportation challenges, we wanted to build a platform that could connect people, resources, knowledge, opportunities, and support systems in one ecosystem.
That vision became ASKEE.
Today, ASKEE aims to help students, professionals, teams, creators, and communities buy, sell, learn, collaborate, discover opportunities, support causes, and solve local problems together.
From building our first e-cycle to building a community platform —
The mission remains the same.
Use technology to solve real-world problems and create opportunities for others.
